Responsibility

  • Source, negotiate, and procure high-quality food and beverage ingredients, kitchen equipment, and restaurant supplies from local and international vendors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, favorable terms, and consistent product quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities, new suppliers, and emerging trends in the F&B industry.
  • Collaborate with chefs and management to forecast demand, plan purchases, and align procurement with seasonal menus or promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Prepare and analyze purchasing reports, budgets, and cost comparisons to optimize spending.
  • Resolve discrepancies in orders, invoices, or deliveries in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and sustain vendor relationships.
  • Proficient in inventory management software, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of local and international food supply chains, import/export regulations, and logistics.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and sustainable sourcing practices is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are an advantage.
