Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with local and international supplier networks is a plus.
