Responsibility
- Develop and implement robust purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines across all manufacturing and logistics operations.
- Lead all negotiation activities with suppliers to secure the best terms, pricing, and agreements, fostering strong, long-term vendor relationships.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers while continuously monitoring existing supplier performance against established KPIs.
- Manage the entire procurement cycle, from requisition to order placement, delivery, and invoice reconciliation.
- Collaborate closely with production, warehousing, and logistics teams to forecast material needs and ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing department, focusing on process efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, ethical purchasing practices, and relevant industry regulations.
- Prepare and present purchasing reports, market analyses, and budget forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics industries.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and motivate a purchasing team.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes and building strategic supplier partnerships.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
