Responsibility
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers (local and international) to secure cost-effective, high-quality materials and services.
- Manage end-to-end import processes, including customs documentation, tariff classifications, and compliance with Indonesian regulations.
- Liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers to clarify specifications, resolve disputes, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Prepare and analyze purchase orders, invoices, and contracts to ensure accuracy and adherence to budgets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to leverage volume discounts and priority service.
- Track market trends, pricing fluctuations, and alternative suppliers to optimize procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to align purchasing activities with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in purchasing, procurement, or import administration, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is mandatory; English proficiency is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
