Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to identify cost-effective suppliers and materials while maintaining quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, logistics, and production) to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in cost reduction, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, just-in-time (JIT) inventory, and global sourcing is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia) are advantageous.
