Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes for DDaT-related goods and services, ensuring compliance with UK government and international regulations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess procurement needs and align them with organizational goals.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify the best vendors for technology and logistics requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Monitor procurement performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to ethical procurement practices and sustainability standards.
- Resolve procurement-related issues and escalations with efficiency and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement, preferably within government, technology, or logistics sectors.
- Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, contract law, and supplier management.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings and process optimization.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity.
