Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize product costing and improve profitability.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify cost-effective and high-quality materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure the best value for the organization.
- Collaborate with finance and production teams to align purchasing strategies with budgetary and operational goals.
- Monitor and analyze spending patterns to identify savings opportunities and process improvements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while exploring new vendor partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or costing within manufacturing, logistics, or a related industry.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local and international supply chain regulations and best practices.
