Responsibility

  • Process and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., production, finance) to align procurement activities with business needs.
  • Monitor and follow up on shipment statuses, resolving delays or discrepancies proactively.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, including vendor databases and inventory tracking systems.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate existing ones for performance and reliability.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules and avoid disruptions.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipping routes and reduce lead times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Familiarity with incoterms, shipping documentation, and customs regulations is a plus.
