Responsibility
- Source, negotiate, and purchase electrical components, materials, and equipment from approved suppliers to meet production and operational needs.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and reliable supply chains.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness, and recommend improvements or alternatives.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, emerging technologies, and cost-saving opportunities in the electrical sector.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to ethical standards, sustainability goals, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the electrical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, RoHS).
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced MNC environment.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs procedures, and logistics is a plus.
