Responsibility
- Process and review purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) for approved requisitions, including terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Track order statuses and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, logistics) to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or FMCG industry procurement is a plus.
