Responsibility
- Source, evaluate, and select vendors based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and reliability.
- Conduct thorough cost analyses and prepare comparative reports to support procurement decisions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues to ensure consistent service levels.
- Coordinate with internal departments to forecast material needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements in the procurement system.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or vendor management, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a proven ability to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices and familiarity with industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
