Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure cost-effective and timely material sourcing.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and international trade laws for all purchasing and logistics activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and reliable partnerships.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement expenditures, logistics costs, and operational efficiency to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and finance, to align purchasing and logistics strategies with business objectives.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions and delays proactively, implementing contingency plans to minimize impact on operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the manufacturing, steel, or trading industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).
- In-depth knowledge of incoterms, customs regulations, and international shipping procedures.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Indonesian or Japanese is an advantage.
