As a Project Manager, you will ensure seamless coordination between site teams, management, and local stakeholders, driving project success from planning to execution. Your expertise in Mandarin and project management will be pivotal in fostering collaboration and achieving operational excellence.
Responsibility
- Oversee day-to-day mining project operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and local staff, to meet project milestones.
- Serve as the primary liaison between management, local stakeholders, and government authorities, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and timelines, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess operational efficiency, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management and stakeholders in both English and Mandarin.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, promoting a culture of sustainability and responsibility.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal) is mandatory for stakeholder communication.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of mining regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
