Join PERSOL in an exciting opportunity as a Project Engineer specializing in Rail and Transportation Systems in the vibrant region of Bali, Indonesia. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and delivery of rail and transit systems, ensuring projects meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to high-impact transportation initiatives while working in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Based in Badung, Bali, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and government stakeholders, to deliver world-class rail solutions that enhance mobility and sustainability in the region.
Responsibility
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of rail and transportation infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Ensure compliance with local and international rail safety standards, including regulatory and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical reviews to optimize project performance and cost-efficiency.
- Prepare and present progress reports, technical documentation, and stakeholder updates to senior management and clients.
- Liaise with government agencies and local authorities to secure permits, approvals, and compliance certifications.
- Implement quality control and testing protocols to ensure systems meet operational and safety benchmarks.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and propose innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rail, transportation, or infrastructure project engineering, with a focus on design or construction.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, AREMA, or local equivalents).
- Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and green infrastructure principles in transportation projects.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multicultural environments and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
