Responsibility
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Provide safety training and inductions for new employees and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in a project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
