Responsibility
- Develop and deliver engaging, up-to-date curricula in tourism studies, including courses on hospitality management, sustainable tourism, and cultural heritage preservation.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career paths, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals to advance knowledge in tourism and hospitality.
- Collaborate with industry partners to create internship and job placement opportunities for students.
- Organize and lead field trips, workshops, and guest lectures to enhance practical learning experiences.
- Assess student performance through exams, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in faculty meetings, academic committees, and professional development activities.
- Promote sustainable and ethical tourism practices in teaching and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Masterâs or PhD degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience at the college or university level, with a focus on tourism or hospitality.
- Proven industry experience in tourism, hotel management, or travel services is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse student populations.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies, including e-learning platforms and interactive tools.
- Research background with publications or conference presentations in tourism-related fields.
- Commitment to sustainability, cultural sensitivity, and ethical practices in tourism education.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian or other languages is advantageous.
