Responsibility
- Translate technical, marketing, and customer-facing content from Indonesian to English (and vice versa) with high accuracy.
- Localize product descriptions, manuals, and promotional materials to ensure cultural appropriateness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, customer support) to refine messaging.
- Proofread and edit translated documents for grammar, tone, and consistency.
- Maintain a glossary of industry-specific terminology for waterproofing and construction sectors.
- Assist in translating training materials and internal communications for staff.
- Stay updated on language trends and industry jargon to ensure high-quality output.
- Manage translation projects with tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Indonesian (written and verbal) with a strong command of both languages.
- Proven experience (1+ years) in translation, localization, or linguistics, preferably in technical or retail sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Literature, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) is a plus.
- Strong research skills to verify terminology and context in specialized fields.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free translations.
- Prior experience in construction, home improvement, or retail industries is advantageous.
