Responsibility
- Perform high-quality alterations, repairs, and tailoring for soft furnishings, curtains, drapes, and uniforms to meet luxury hospitality standards.
- Provide timely and professional tailoring services for guests, ensuring all requests are completed with precision and care.
- Inspect and assess the condition of fabrics and garments, recommending appropriate repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Manage and organize tailoring supplies, tools, and inventory to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Handle guest enquiries with professionalism, offering expert advice on fabric care, alterations, and styling options.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate the upkeep of all soft furnishings across the property or vessel.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest tailoring techniques, trends, and materials to continuously improve service quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tailor, preferably in the hospitality, cruise, or luxury service industry.
- Expertise in hand and machine sewing, with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and garment construction techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Familiarity with measuring, fitting, and altering a wide range of garments and soft furnishings.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
