Responsibility
- Prepare and assemble shisha setups according to venue-specific SOPs, ensuring optimal flavor and smoke quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all shisha equipment, including hoses, bowls, and charcoal trays.
- Monitor and manage coal heat levels to deliver a consistent and enjoyable smoking experience.
- Engage with guests to recommend flavor combinations and customize shisha preparations based on preferences.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and venue regulations regarding shisha preparation and service.
- Collaborate with bar and waitstaff to coordinate seamless service during peak hours.
- Inventory management: Track and restock shisha supplies, including tobacco, charcoal, and accessories.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for shisha-related issues and resolve guest concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Shisha Maker or similar role in hospitality, preferably in upscale venues.
- In-depth knowledge of shisha preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and equipment maintenance.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse clientele in a professional manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic understanding of health and safety protocols related to shisha service.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Arabic) are a plus.
