Responsibility
- Develop and innovate pastry menus aligned with seasonal trends and guest preferences.
- Lead research and testing of new recipes, techniques, and presentations.
- Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation across all outlets.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to integrate pastry elements into broader menus.
- Oversee inventory management, cost control, and supplier relations for pastry ingredients.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff to uphold high standards.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Participate in culinary events, competitions, and promotional activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-end pastry kitchen or R&D role.
- Proven track record of creating innovative desserts and baked goods.
- Strong knowledge of international pastry techniques and trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with food costing and inventory management.
- Certification in food safety/hygiene is a plus.
