Responsibility
- Perform professional restringing services for tennis, badminton, and squash racquets using industry-standard techniques and equipment.
- Inspect racquets for damage, wear, or structural issues and advise customers on repair or replacement options.
- Provide expert recommendations on string types, tensions, and grip sizes tailored to individual playing styles and skill levels.
- Assist customers with product selection, including racquets, strings, grips, and accessories, while promoting upsell opportunities.
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and stored.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in racquet sports technology, string materials, and equipment innovations.
- Collaborate with the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Racket Stringer or in a similar role within the sports retail industry (training provided for motivated candidates).
- In-depth knowledge of racquet sports, including string types (e.g., polyester, multifilament, natural gut) and tension adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination to ensure precise and consistent stringing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for calculating string lengths, tensions, and pricing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Passion for racquet sports and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management is a plus.
