Responsibility
- Provide 24/7 postnatal care to mothers and newborns, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with breastfeeding support, including latching techniques, milk supply management, and newborn feeding schedules.
- Monitor and record vital signs for both mother and baby, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious confinement meals and herbal remedies to aid in postpartum recovery.
- Educate new mothers on newborn care, including bathing, diapering, umbilical cord care, and soothing techniques.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for mother and baby, following strict health and safety protocols.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to help mothers adjust to postpartum changes and bonding with their newborn.
- Collaborate with doctors, midwives, and lactation consultants to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Certification in postnatal care, midwifery, or nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a postnatal caregiver, confinement nanny, or in a related healthcare role.
- In-depth knowledge of newborn care, breastfeeding support, and postpartum recovery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with new mothers and families.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, as required.
- Familiarity with traditional confinement practices (e.g., herbal treatments, massage, dietary restrictions).
- CPR and first aid certification for infants and adults.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is a plus.
