Responsibility
- Translate written documents, emails, and other materials from Mandarin to Indonesian/English and vice versa with high accuracy.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and negotiations between Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Review and edit translated content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to industry-specific terminology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to localize content for target audiences, maintaining cultural sensitivity.
- Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and translation memories to ensure consistency across projects.
- Assist in proofreading and quality assurance of translated materials to meet company standards.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and industry-specific jargon in both Mandarin and Indonesian/English.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) with near-native proficiency in Indonesian and/or English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a business or administrative environment.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and the ability to adapt translations accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and translation tools (e.g., CAT tools) is a plus.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
