Responsibility
- Translate written documents, emails, and business correspondence from Mandarin to Indonesian/English and vice versa with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and client interactions.
- Localize content, including marketing materials, legal documents, and technical manuals, ensuring it resonates with the target audience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear and effective communication across language barriers.
- Proofread and edit translated materials to maintain consistency, tone, and professionalism.
- Develop and maintain glossaries and translation memories to streamline future projects.
- Stay updated on industry-specific terminology in fields such as business, administration, and tourism.
- Assist in cultural consulting to help organizations navigate cross-cultural nuances in business dealings.
Qualifications
- HSK 4 certification or higher in Mandarin, with proven fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Excellent command of Indonesian and English (written and verbal).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in translation, interpretation, or a related field (preferably in a business or administrative setting).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) is a plus.
- Cultural awareness and ability to adapt translations to local contexts and idioms.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung).
