Responsibility
- Translate written and spoken content from Mandarin to Indonesian/English and vice versa with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and business negotiations.
- Review and edit translated materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to industry terminology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to localize content for target audiences, including marketing materials, legal documents, and technical manuals.
- Maintain a glossary of specialized terms and ensure consistent use across all translations.
- Assist in drafting bilingual correspondence, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and industry-specific jargon in both Mandarin and target languages.
- Manage translation projects, including deadlines, priorities, and client feedback, to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) with excellent command of Indonesian and/or English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (2+ years) in translation, interpretation, or localization, preferably in a business or corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and the ability to adapt translations accordingly.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering error-free and polished work.
- Proficiency in CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
