Responsibility
- Translate and localize corporate documents, emails, and communications from Mandarin to English and vice versa with precision and cultural nuance.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, calls, and negotiations between stakeholders.
- Review and edit translated materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to industry terminology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align translations with business objectives and brand voice.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive corporate information.
- Develop and update glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency in translations.
- Assist in cultural consulting to bridge understanding between Chinese and international partners.
- Stay updated on industry trends, linguistic developments, and cultural nuances in both languages.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal skills in both.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in translation, interpretation, or a related linguistic role, preferably in a corporate or business setting.
- Strong understanding of business terminology, cultural differences, and professional communication standards.
- Degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) or translation management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (preferably Canggu, Ubud, or surrounding areas).
