Responsibility
- Translate written and verbal communications (emails, contracts, meetings, and negotiations) between Mandarin and Indonesian/English with high accuracy.
- Facilitate real-time interpretation during business meetings, calls, or site visits with Chinese-speaking partners.
- Review and localize business documents, including procurement agreements, invoices, and technical specifications.
- Ensure cultural appropriateness and clarity in all translated materials to avoid misunderstandings.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and management teams to streamline import processes and vendor communications.
- Maintain a glossary of industry-specific terminology for consistency across translations.
- Provide language support for marketing materials, presentations, or training sessions as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, trade regulations, and cultural nuances relevant to Indonesia-China business relations.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) and Indonesian; strong command of English is a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in translation, interpretation, or a similar role, preferably in business, trade, or procurement contexts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and precision.
- Familiarity with business terminology in procurement, logistics, or international trade.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, International Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, translation tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ), or CAT tools is advantageous.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bali (Denpasar, Badung, or surrounding areas).
