Responsibility
- Monitor pool areas, guest activities, and water conditions to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment.
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid, CPR, or emergency care as needed.
- Enforce pool safety rules and regulations, including capacity limits and proper conduct.
- Inspect pool equipment (e.g., ladders, diving boards) and report any hazards or maintenance needs.
- Assist in poolside emergencies, including coordinating with medical personnel if required.
- Provide guest assistance, such as answering questions about pool facilities and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation for all safety-related occurrences.
- Participate in regular training and drills to stay updated on lifesaving techniques and protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Lifeguard Certification (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent) with CPR and First Aid training.
- Proven experience as a lifeguard in a resort, hotel, or public pool setting (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues in deep water.
- Excellent physical fitness, stamina, and the ability to work outdoors in tropical conditions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure during emergency situations.
- Familiarity with pool chemical safety and basic maintenance is a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is advantageous.
