Responsibility
- Prepare and cook daily meals for guests, staff, or events according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure all dishes meet quality, presentation, and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing, with a focus on fresh, local, and sustainable produce.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to execute service for banquets, buffets, or à la carte dining.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen supervisor or procurement team.
- Adapt recipes and cooking methods to accommodate guest preferences, allergies, or cultural dietary restrictions.
- Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cook, line cook, or similar role in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
- Proven ability to prepare a variety of cuisines, with a preference for Indonesian or international dishes.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English (basic Indonesian is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment (up to 20 kg).
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Culinary certification or vocational training in hospitality is an advantage.
