Responsibility
- Provide real-time interpretation (consecutive and simultaneous) during meetings, conferences, and business negotiations between Korean and English speakers.
- Translate official documents, emails, reports, and presentations with high accuracy, maintaining the original tone and intent.
- Assist the Director with scheduling, coordination, and logistical support for international meetings and travel arrangements.
- Facilitate clear and professional communication between Korean headquarters and local/regional teams to ensure alignment on projects and strategies.
- Prepare meeting summaries, minutes, and action items in both Korean and English for executive review.
- Act as a cultural liaison, advising on business etiquette, customs, and best practices to enhance cross-cultural collaboration.
- Manage office coordination tasks, including document filing, correspondence, and administrative support as needed.
- Stay updated on industry terminology, trends, and linguistic nuances to ensure high-quality interpretation and translation.
Qualifications
- Native-level proficiency in Korean and business-level English (written and verbal), with a neutral accent and excellent pronunciation.
- Proven experience (minimum 2+ years) as an interpreter/translator in a corporate, legal, or international business setting.
- Strong understanding of business terminology in both languages, with the ability to adapt to technical or industry-specific jargon.
- Exceptional listening, memory, and note-taking skills for accurate consecutive interpretation.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills to handle sensitive or high-stakes conversations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, translation tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ), and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams).
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (or already based in the region) with eligibility to work legally in Indonesia.
