Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure all food items are stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and kitchen team to develop seasonal menus and special promotions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to minimize waste and control costs.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards and best practices.
- Adapt recipes and techniques to accommodate dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cook in a hotel, resort, or fine-dining restaurant.
- Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HACCP, food safety regulations, and sanitation practices.
- Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
