Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure all food items are stored, handled, and presented in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow during peak service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to minimize waste and control costs.
- Adhere to portion control and plating guidelines to maintain consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free kitchen environment at all times.
- Assist in menu development and provide input on seasonal or special dish offerings.
- Follow all food safety regulations, including HACCP standards, and participate in regular training.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Cook or Chef in a hotel, resort, or fine-dining restaurant.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian cuisine and international culinary techniques.
- Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and creativity in dish presentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices (certification is a plus).
- Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
