Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all meals are presented attractively and served in a timely manner to meet guest expectations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and assist in ordering and stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus, develop new recipes, and incorporate seasonal ingredients.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions immediately.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards and best practices.
  • Participate in regular kitchen cleanliness and organization to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, food safety regulations, and proper handling of perishable goods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new trends.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
