Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all food items are stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment, and report shortages or excesses.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace, including proper sanitation of all surfaces and utensils.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus, develop new recipes, and ensure consistent food quality.
  • Portion and plate food presentations attractively and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Assist in training and supervising junior kitchen staff to uphold service and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and workplace policies to ensure a secure working environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cook, Chef, or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering service (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new cuisines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen equipment (up to 20-25 kg).
  • Fluency in English or Indonesian is a plus; ability to read and interpret recipes is essential.
