Responsibility
- Prepare a variety of Asian and Western dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and portion sizes to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in compliance with NEA and local health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing food waste.
- Collaborate with the café team to support daily operations, including food preparation, plating, and service.
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control.
- Adapt recipes and menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a professional kitchen, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
- Proficiency in preparing both Asian and Western cuisines with a focus on quality and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, including NEA guidelines and HACCP principles.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by café operations.
- Certification in food hygiene or culinary arts is a plus.
