Responsibility
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, tools, and materials while adhering to scheduled routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or delays to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid professional driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a company driver or in a similar role, preferably in logistics or transportation.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and defensive driving techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, GPS devices, and delivery schedules accurately.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in driving or logistics are a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high level of professionalism.
