Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, cold brew, and specialty drinks, adhering to But First, Coffee Inc. standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, ensuring cleanliness and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, restock supplies, and maintain a well-organized workspace.
- Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their appreciation of our products.
- Handle cash transactions and POS operations accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in training new team members and sharing best practices for coffee preparation and customer service.
- Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista in a high-volume café or specialty coffee shop (minimum 1 year preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in coffee (e.g., SCA) or food safety is a plus.
- Passion for coffee culture and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
