Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and specialty drinks, adhering to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming and personalized experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas to uphold hygiene and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline operations during peak hours and deliver consistent service.
- Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their appreciation and satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately while providing receipts and change as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new coffee trends, techniques, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, with a strong passion for coffee.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing methods, milk steaming, and latte art techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in food safety or barista training is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
