Responsibility

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, cold brew, and specialty drinks, adhering to standardized recipes and presentation standards.
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
  • Master advanced latte art techniques to create visually appealing and Instagram-worthy drinks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and offering personalized recommendations.
  • Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their appreciation and experience.
  • Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and communicate restocking needs to management.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the workspace, including the coffee station, counter areas, and customer seating.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal drink specials and participate in coffee tastings or training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Barista in a high-volume café, specialty coffee shop, or luxury hospitality setting.
  • Expertise in operating professional espresso machines (e.g., La Marzocco, Rancilio) and manual brewing methods (V60, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press).
  • Advanced skills in latte art (hearts, rosettas, tulips, etc.) with a portfolio or demonstration of work.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee beans, roasting profiles, grind sizes, and extraction techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in coffee (e.g., SCA Barista Skills) or willingness to undergo training is highly desirable.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on global coffee trends and innovations.
