Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, pour-over coffee, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a memorable and personalized experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and service areas in compliance with hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Educate customers on coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their appreciation of our products.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines to uphold Kanary Bakery’s brand reputation.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new coffee trends, techniques, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a barista in a high-volume café or specialty coffee shop (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing methods, including espresso extraction, manual brewing (V60, Chemex, French Press), and milk steaming techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for coffee culture and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 kg (coffee bags, supplies).
