Responsibility
- Prepare and present cold dishes, including appetizers, salads, canapés, and charcuterie, adhering to fine dining standards.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in mise en place, ingredient preparation, and plating for cold station items.
- Maintain impeccable hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with HACCP and local regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels for cold section ingredients and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and maintain consistency.
- Participate in menu development and special event preparations as directed.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in the cold kitchen area.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role, preferably in fine dining or luxury hotels.
- Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cold food preparation techniques, including knife skills and garnishing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
