Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure all meals are prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow during peak service times.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Contribute creative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a hotel, resort, or fine dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and other departments.
- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary innovation and presentation.
- Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and hygiene practices.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 25 kg).
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
