Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, and specialty drinks, adhering to Daily Joe’s standards.
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, including equipment, tools, and ingredient stations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, including cash handling and POS system management.
- Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their experience.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the management team.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (minimum 1 year preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders), and milk steaming.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in drink presentation and consistency.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills for accurate transactions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian, Spanish) are a plus.
- Passion for coffee culture and a willingness to stay updated on industry trends.
