Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, latte, cappuccino, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Educate customers on our beverage menu, including origins, flavors, and brewing methods, to enhance their coffee experience.
- Provide personalized recommendations based on customer preferences and upsell specialty items to increase sales.
- Take accurate orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, utensils, and service areas, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, providing receipts and change as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, equipment, and beverage preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and operating the POS system.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for coffee and a desire to continuously learn and improve your craft.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in barista training are a plus.
