Responsibility
- Oversee daily production activities in the sheet metal fabrication facility to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to production staff, monitoring progress and addressing bottlenecks.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Optimize production processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower operational costs.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain product excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to source materials and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Train, mentor, and develop production staff to enhance skills and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
