Responsibility
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand forecasts while optimizing resource utilization.
- Monitor and control material flow from procurement to production, ensuring timely availability of components.
- Manage inventory levels using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to prevent stockouts or excess holding costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve material shortages, delays, or quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
- Generate and analyze KPI reports (e.g., lead time, turnover ratio) to drive data-backed decision-making.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure materials meet specifications and compliance standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, material control, or inventory management within manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics and just-in-time (JIT) principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with internal and external teams.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
