Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials to ensure availability for manufacturing processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Implement and maintain material handling procedures to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
- Conduct regular audits of material stocks and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Collaborate with production planners to align material supply with production schedules and demand forecasts.
- Utilize ERP or inventory management systems to track material movements and generate reports for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in material handling and storage.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in material management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in material management, warehouse operations, or production support within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and material handling best practices.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
