Responsibility
- Oversee and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of workshop equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and safety, to align maintenance activities with business objectives.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of workshop facilities to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions to minimize disruptions to workshop operations.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and SATSâ safety and quality policies.
- Train and mentor junior staff on maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a workshop or industrial environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of workshop equipment, machinery, and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in an industrial setting.
- Certification in maintenance management or related fields is a plus.
