Responsibility
- Evaluate and approve food and non-food products for safety, quality, and compliance with Indonesian and international regulations (e.g., BPOM, FDA, ISO standards).
- Conduct risk assessments and technical reviews of materials, ingredients, and manufacturing processes to identify potential hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers, procurement teams, and R&D to ensure product specifications align with AEONâs quality standards and sustainability goals.
- Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory mandates (e.g., food labeling, chemical restrictions) and update internal procedures to maintain compliance.
- Develop and implement testing protocols for product performance, durability, and safety, including lab-based evaluations and field trials.
- Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams on product-related risks, innovations, and best practices in food and non-food categories.
- Lead root-cause analyses for product failures or quality incidents, proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor benchmarks to drive continuous improvement in product quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical field (Masterâs or PhD is a plus).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product technology, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance, preferably in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., BPOM, HACCP, GMP) and/or non-food compliance standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS, ASTM).
- Hands-on experience with product testing methodologies, including lab equipment (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, tensile testers) and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with sustainability certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, FSC, Fair Trade) and their application in product development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting while collaborating with global teams.
