Fengshi Metal Technology is seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nibong Tebal, Penang. In this pivotal role, you will act as the bridge between design intent and mass production excellence.
As our Product Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the full product development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality assurance, and production, to ensure every project meets our rigorous standards for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and precision. Responsibility
- Lead the product development process from initial conceptual design through to successful mass production.
- Conduct thorough Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analyses to optimize production efficiency.
- Coordinate cross-functional project activities to ensure all product milestones are met on schedule.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives without compromising product quality or structural integrity.
- Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues during the pilot and production phases to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including assembly instructions, BOMs, and engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with quality teams to implement robust testing protocols and root cause analysis for production defects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in product engineering or metal manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or PTC Creo).
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, including stamping, casting, or machining.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Malay to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume manufacturing setting with a focus on precision.
